Joseph Stalin

Posted by praga on 20 Nov 2020, 12:03

Iosseb Bessarionis dse Dsughaschwili - fighting name Stalin.
Here in the size of about 25 mm - with Molotov and some of his bully boys.
Stalin, Molotow and Beria were once included in a Zvezda kit - with a few other figures.
The Grim Driver is a resin figure by AlexMiniatures.
The three soldiers are made of soft plastic from Atlantic.
The Packard is a Hot Wheels toy car. The logo is still printed in the rear window. I disassembled the car, repainted it, added some extra parts and new tires, and reassembled it.
Greetings, Jens Hilgraf

Really different and very nice indeed.

There is a real air of menace apparent with these handsomes. I think the soldier would be at attention, frozen with fear but it’s all good.

It brings to mind ‘The death of Stalin’ film.

‘Uncle Joe’, a throughly nasty man from a period when the bar was pretty high!

Well done.

Best wishes,

Chris

I agree, the figures have a real menace to them! And I love that you left the Hot Wheels logo on the window. That's very funny...

Nicely done dio.

Never knew that Churchill was the car driver of Stalin.

Great work here. I also love that street.

The Hot Wheels sign on that car gives me the message that we don't have to be to serious! ;-)

Good job.
Although the English lettering on the car makes it a bit of a farce. (This is equal to the Hebrew lettering on the side of Adolf's car) And the "Guard" badge on the side of the car as well.
But I enjoy watching this scene !!

Very cool work. Can you tell us in which Zvezda set the figures have been included?!
I think Peter is right, when he mentioned, we should not be to serious in the hobby. ;-)

Peter, Kekso: LOL yes the driver really looks like Churchill
Mabo: A few years ago there was a PE8 "Stalin's Plane" kit that contained the figures.
