Six new Zvezda figures painted last month. Sorry for the photo quality, didn't have much time to adjust the lighting. Enjoy!

Yes, the sculpts are great, but Zvezda unfortunately has quite a few scale problems.
Let me give you an example: The figures above are 24mm tall (to the top of the head) on average. Which is perfectly acceptable for "true" 1/72 scale. On the other hand I just received a brand new Zvezda Soviet assault sappers 6271 small AoT set and all four figures are around 26mm tall and stand out next to other figures. As such I generally would not recommend buying new Zvezda stuff until PSR posts a review on them.

I really like these Soviets! Especially the NCO with the cape. Well done.

Excellent painting! I agree that the Zvezda 'mini sets' are superbly sculpted but a little on the 'large' size.

Having said that, soldiers have always come in many shapes and sizes....

I would love to some variation in solider sizes, especially as some units where composed entirely of taller men. I just wish equipment stayed the same size.
