Bavarian Cuirassiers Regiment Weickel WSS

Posted by sansovino on 04 Apr 2021, 16:45

My last production: Bavarian Cuirassiers of the War of Spanisch Succession.

All figures were originally Roundheads of Waterloo 1815 besides the trumpeter (Strelets). They were adapted intensivly with some changes (postures and arms) and some applications on helmets, coats, boots, horse blankets and pistol pouchs.

The regiment Weickel fought in the battle of Blenhem where it was nearly annihilated.

I agree. That is nice work on the conversions - I always admire figure painters who don't let the lack of an existing set stop them from fielding what they want.

Hello sansovino,

very nice conversion work. I faced the same question when I made my cuirassiers and I pushed away the idea of converting Waterloo set. I ended up using the Streletz ones - surely not so esthetic (early Streletz) but easy.
Greetings
